Help Random Shutdowns w/ both HC 3.01 & 3.1

Hi

I got my iconia a500 a couple of weeks ago.

It came installed with HC 3.01 which is very buggy. One of the bugs was that the a500 would shut down randomly - both when on charge or not.

So I upgraded to 3.1. Upgrade went smoothly. Its clearly much better than 3.01 but the random shutdowns persist.

I've Googled and see many other people have this problem. What I couldn't find is a fix.

Has anyone found a solution to this irritating problem?

I would return it for a replacement. I have had mine for a few months and have no shut downs. You should get another one before the warranty is up.
I also don't use the stock ROM on my unit I'm using the Toshiba thrive OS ROM on my tablet. It runs great and has no problems....

I agree with splatoid you should return it if possible. I am on my 4th acer tab. First 2 had dead pixels, 3rd had a screen problem where the screen wouldn't stay lit and would fade out to gray. 4th one has been great so far. I rooted mine and am running the stock rom and haven't had any shutdowns.
