I see over in the Sony Forums a lot of chatter concerning random shutdowns usually related to running video (memory, flash problems????) ..... anyone here have problems like that with their Sony Tablet (even the older models)?

Yeah it's around various forums, and is even mentioned in a CNET review (using the word "crash").

I'm sure not every single Xperia Tab does that, but sometimes a known issue can emerge as being not user caused but perhaps an example of poor quality control somewhere in the design and/or manufacturing stream: some come out golden and some do not.
