Help Random: sometimes my phone freezes and won't wake after getting a text (GoSMS)

Once in awhile (happened twice yesterday) my phone freezes and I am unable to wake the screen after getting a text notification. I use GoSMS pro.

I hear the chime, see the LED on but I cannot open the phone, it remains black.

The only way to open it is to reboot or take the battery out.

It's rather embarrassing in front of my iFriends.

Any suggestions? Besides getting new friends? before I clear my GoSMS cache and have to reset my preferences all over again?
 
OK I did that (a week ago now), and of course I had to re-customize everything :(

It seemed to fix the problem until it happened again yesterday. The problem seems to occur when I get 2 text messages; one right after the other.

I use GOsms, because it is the only way to get mms pics from iphones.

Any other ideas? It's rather annoying, and I otherwise really like Gosms :(

Or any other way to get pictures sent from iphones? That is my #1 reason for using the app. #2 is because of the customizations.
 
It happened again just now. It seems to happen when I get 2 text messages in a row, one right after the other.

I am getting really, really annoyed and to not want to factory reset my phone :(

I can't believe this is only happening to me?
 
Yes, I have gosms messaging and this has happened to me as well in just the way you describe. I had thought my recently installed nfl live 2013 app was the issue because I have had the gosms forever and this just began happening within the past few weeks. But, yes, the issue seems to occur with a double text message received situation. One possible fix...I also recently installed "skyvi" from the app market (which is one of the siri clones) and the phone has behaved itself since then. This app also handles text messaging secondary to gosms - meaning after the latter notifies you of a message and you clear it, skyvi also has a bubble on the screen that asks you if you want it to compose a response by voice (i.e. speech to text). Phone has not locked up since, so keeping my fingers crossed!

In any case, have attempted to cover this in two other threads here - "verizon update" and "the big freeze" - to see if others have had this happen and solicit ideas. You may want to check these out for responses.

have had the same problem! have you found a fix
 
I apologize!!! I downloaded skyvi and the problem went away. I just disbaled skyvi from running ad have never used it.

I had forgotten all about it! It just dawned on my why I even had skyvi LOL
