I have an Alcatel OT-995 running gingerbread 2.3.6.
The phone is not rooted...running stock standard launcher rather than the 3D one.
about twice a day my status bar dissapears from the home screen. It will appear again depending on what apps I use.
When the Status bar dissapears from the home screen and I press menu/Notifications the notification screen scrolls down as it should but there is an empty space where the Status bar should be (and I can see a part of the home screen underneath).
I've read this is a problem with the Moto/droid handsets but as you can see I don't have one of them.
The only way to fix it is to re-boot.
Trying to isolate the problem buy launching different apps to se if it causes the problem.... nothing...as there are times I just turn the phone on and it's gone.
Oh...I've tried a factory re-set too.
Any suggestions on a perma fix would be great...
