Help Random things highlighting

All of a sudden, things on my phone highlight and move. For example, if I'm in Handcent(this happens in the regular messaging app too), I'll be typing, and then a text will get highlighted, and the conversation will move up. On my homescreen, random apps will get highlighted, and my homescreen will dart between homes. I've tried rebooting several times, uninstalling Launcherpro, changing apps. What else is there to try?

I had something like this happen to me once (apps randomly highlighted, darting between home screens). I just messed with the little track button on the face of the phone and that seemed to fix it (not exactly sure what that button is called, I never actually use it, seems useless).

Clean the trackpad.
it's used for taking pictures and useful for editing and selecting text more accurately
