Randomly Dropping Network

Razr Maxx is randomly dropping network. Phone has been updated. Red dot appears at top signal area then drops call. Any ideas? (phone is reconditioned replacement phone)
 
Ask them if they could replace it with one that works, this time. (Don't be sarcastic like that, though.)
