[rant] Samsung Service Sucks [/rant]

I own The Ace for the past three months, and have had to send it to the service center twice due to one small music player problem, and now bricking it.
For the music player problem, they kept my phone for about 3 days, before returning it with my problem unsolved, and even then keeping me waiting for about two hours at collection time, later on i had to fix it myself, be just extracting Music.apk from VillainROM and replacing it with my own using root explorer. As for the second time, my phone has been in the Samsung service center for about 15 days now, and this morning i call them to check if my phone has been replaced/repaired, and the bitter, rude lady at the desk says, the it is pending for IMEI re-writing, after it's motherboard was replaced, and they had given me this crap about 6 days ago took, so i start shouting that i gotta leave for college tomorrow and i don't have my phone yet, what the hell am i gonna do, and she says, its not my problem.
After 15 fricking days of keeping me phoneless (thank god i was home, so i could get a stand-by from my dad), and they just tell me to wait five more days, and i gotta go back so i threaten to sue them in consumer court (Very effective threat in India :P), and she says i could either get you a refund on your phone, or i could get your set replaced, both will take 30-45 working days, and i'm so pissed that i tell her i want a f$%#ing refund because even though the phone is really good, you people are a-holes (i really did say that).

So now, i'm moving on, i'll probably buy a HTC Wildfire S or SalSa or any other android i wanna buy, but no Samsung when i get my refund cheque (as much as i think that both phones are overrated, i'm really pissed, really, fricking pissed)

although i can see your annoyed, dude if you have villain rom installed you musta rooted the phone right? so voided your warranty. and so should really be happy samsung have not rejected servicing at all.

puji you know im not gonna put anything here just to piss you off mate but i wouldnt really moan if they are doin this off their own backs the phone worked, you played around with new roms a bit and had problems, its not samsungs fault but they are still helping you out.:(:o:)
 
Well, riddle me this, if you brick your phone, would you not take it to the Samsung service center ? without getting it repaired, you wouldn't even be able to sell it.
I'm just pissed at the attitude of the people running service centers, you can correct me all you want but the fact is that they are not breaking their backs, if they were, i would have had my phone in 5-6 days (which is the time it normally takes), so whatever the hell happens, the feedback on my receipt is not going to be good (because even the last time i called them, they said it would take 5 more days to re-write the IMEI).
P.S.: I was on stock 2.2.1 when it was bricked, and it wasn't even rooted because i was expecting to update it to GB as one of my friends told me he had earlier that day/
Somebody else tried playing with it, so it was reduced to paperweight, not my fault at all.
 
Went to samsung service. Returned after 1 hour waiting. Then went again early morning still had to wait one hour. About the sod problem. The guy there said we do not replace sets and no refunds either even if problem persists. Phone also has vibrate issues. I am thinking of selling the phone today and buying the motorola defy. What say pujit? Isn't it better than wildfire s?

P.s. They just upgraded the firmware to kc1. Vibrator issue might get solved if i go again to service center but i don't think they will do it in less than a week.
 
Yeah, Defy is better in specs, but it ain't gonna see GB :(
Mine is being refunded cause i threatened to sue their a$$es, so i'm just gonna get a refund in a months, but the dealer being my friend, says that i can buy one from him today and he will take the payment when i get the cheque, so it's decision day today, Ace/Wildfire S/Defy :P
 
gb shouln't be an issue. i will go with cyanogenmod.

yaar, can you please tell me the price of defy there? also is the defy model mb525 or mb 526. if possible the model has a green camera lens or red lens.

I just know the price, its something close to 15k(i think a little more) thats it, i got no other details, still have to check it out.
 
OK, i'm suing their ass now, they cancelled my refund, on the basis that my phone has been repaired, just the IMEI is left.
They're gonna get f%&#ed up X(
 
best of luck. but if they are providing a repaired set, you can only complain for late service. Your best bet will be to include sod bug issue.
 
They are providing me with bullsh*t, is what they are doing, i did some homework today and went to another service center, and they said they could have my IMEI written in half an hour, and there was no problem there, so i'm right now just warning the service center about this, if they tell me what's really happened, i'll think about what to do then, if they still maintain the stupid lie, they'll be sorry.
