Root rapidly draining battery

Im running cm7 on my phone thats clocked at 600MHz and for some reason its draining the battery at a ridiculous speed. Ive disabled all the animations and adjusted the brightness to zero. Ive tried battery calibrators, battery savers and everything else I could think of. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening as well as any suggestions on how to correct it? If you plan on keeping this phone for a while, I suggest getting a new battery.
I'm guessing you've been using this phone for about a year, & if this is the case, the battery is probably worn out & won't hold a charge as it did when it was new.

Had mine for a year and a half, get rid of the battery saver, it causes problems for these phones. if it's rooted, get a lowmemorykiller app. Read up on how to use it. The best thing, like he said, is to replace the battery , but not just any battery, get a gold buisness 2450 battery off of amazon 19.98, it's one of the best things u can do.
