obama is about as anti-American as they come. He doesn't believe people have a right to protect their homes, he doesn't support the US Constitution. He believes in TOTAL government control just like Mao Tse Tung, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Castro. obama needs to be thrown out of the White house as soon as humanly possible!
Wow, I was wondering how long it would take someone to go all Ted Kaczynski on the forum. :(

What he is doing in Libya is a prime example.
What exactly is that? You mean the exact same thing every president, regardless of party, has done since Nixon, before congressional pressure forced them to seek out congressional approval of some sort?

Yeah pretty evil stuff... Not.

The President should at least seek Congressional (the people's representatives) approval before they attempt regime changes in foreign countries.

The stated goal of the mission was the protection of civilians, but I agree he should get congressional support.

I don't see how it makes him a dictator like Castro, nevermind a tyrant like Hitler

In theory, but i practice, every single president since Nixon (when the law requiring said approval was enacted) has ignored it until they were forced to seek congressional approval. the funny thing is that that very law has yet to even be tested for constitutionality. I suspect at some point it will be.

As was said above, I do not think that testing the limits of this particular law makes the president a dictator. Try living under a real dictator and then compare that to living in the US. I can guarantee that you will appreciate how good we have it here and the checks and balances built into the powers of all the players in our system of government.

I oppose any President's actions who do this, even the past President with Iraq. Bush at least attempted to get Congressional approval, though.

Every president has the power to send troops anywhere for I think up to 60 days. After that he has to get congressional aprroval to keep them there or has to withdraw them.

The thing is is that there are no troops on the ground... does Obama have congressional approval for the air strikes in Yemen?
He doesn't need it but he should get it IMO.

I "pulled the race card" because the statement made was so outrageous, that is the only thing I could think of as to why it was made. Seriously, there were no reasons given why it was made. And, the compared parties are so far from Obama, it is actually offensive to me. Why, because I had family fight against the people he was compared to. Now, I won't make a ridiculously broad statement and say that "republicans are known to be a racist group". But, I will make the statement that racists are usually republicans. That is why the race card is pulled so often, because so often, that is all that explains the ignorant views of some....

Really? The right didn't say the same thing about Clinton then?

So why does the left like to compare Bush to Hitler? It must just be the racist self-hating whites that the Democratic party tends to attract I guess. I mean it has to be a race thing according to you.

I never heard anybody compare bush or Clinton to Hitler and the likes. Certainly not to the degree Obama is.

You must be young I assume. I mean nothing by that except that maybe you weren't really around. Especially Bush was called a Nazi and a fascist and compared to Hitler constantly.

It is a tool people use to try to discredit and silence the opposition. Much like calling someone racist to do the same. It is a weapon, nothing more. People tend to tackle the player instead of the ball.

I was around the last 12 years. Im in my late 40's. Sorry, Bush was compared to a chimp, not Hitler.....

you had your eyes and ears closed for his entire term? or just biased blindness?

moveon.org ran an entire ad campaign making the comparison........ and they werent the only ones........ try google ....... just because the facts dont support your cause doesnt make them less factual

Bush was compared to hitler more than a few times by those opposing him. However the Obama hate is vicious, and with far less reason then the Bush hate. I don't know if Clinton was hated on so much, but it seems he wasn't. Unexplainable really... unless

Nope.

The only outrageous statement was the statement you made saying this:

Wow. Cause he is black, amirite....

This is a very silly thing to resort to.

It has absolutely and completely BUGGER all to do with Mr Obama being a black man.

Just because Obama is black means nothing about what he does successfully or fails to do in his election term.

Being black has nothing to do with it.

His race has got nothing to do with it.

I will make the statement that racists are usually republicans.

Huh?

This is also another very silly thing to say.

To which ethnic group are you referring to?

Whites... Blacks?

Racism works in more ways than one you know. And in any event calling Republicans "Racists" is extremely prejudice my friend.

Just because they are Republican does not mean they are in general racist people.

It is foolish to assume someone from a particular politcal interests group and calling them to be racists in general.

That is silly and just simply wrong.

He said generally. Liberals, who care more about people they don't know, understand people's problems, are generally more intelligent, are generally less racist then the general populace. In the US they all drift towards the Democratic Party.
Now the Republicans in the US, are kinda more based around selfishness, blaming people for their own problems etc. This can be seen with how they oppose UHC for example (despite the fiscal benefits). These kind of people are more likely to be racist then the general populace.

That doesn't make the Republican Party as racist party. Its just the way things are today.

I don't see any liberal National Fronts :p
And its been shown liberals are generally smarter... sorry :L

I am not a liberal, not a conservative either though if that is what you were comparing them too. I am an honors student at my college and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honors society with a 3.96 GPA. Why I am not a liberal then? If you are just comparing them to conservatives then I might agree since their ranks seem to be filled with religious fanatics.

And being a Nationalist would not make someone unintelligent just as a matter of fact if that is what your first sentence is implying. Of course I suspect that that was just some off-hand remark trying to associate certain people with what you deem to be racism once again. The tool loses its power after so many uses.

Oh no, National Fronts are racist organizations that operate in many parts of Europe. I wouldn't associate Nationalism with Racism necessarily, although the superiority idea can lead to it.
(It could be argued that Obama, in his wish to restrict companies moving jobs and taxable income overseas, is actually more Nationalist then Bush in practice)

I see. I don't know what a National Front is so I'll take your word for it. I also think any sort of racial supremacy will lead to racism. Anyhow, this is way off topic. :p

Clap clap clap!

Well siad my friend.

wow.... shadowninty

How can you prove this anyway????

How can you actually prove this????

This is just your opinoin.

Are you that biased?

SO according to your logic If I decided tomorrow to honestly become a liberal would that make me smarter than a Quantum Physics Professor that is a Republican just for example?

HELL NO

And anyway there are sooo many different types of intelligence that is impossible to call one thing better than another.

You are going waaay off topic too.

Oh we had a thread in this months ago.
Becoming a liberal doesn't make you more intelligent. Its just that being more intelligent makes you more likely to have liberal views. That's just the way it is.
