Razr firmware update

That lines up with one fix VZW said was coming, and thats the data dropping out with the 4g. Bionic should be the same week or right before that.

As thats the only problem I have had with this phone (and every 4g phone I owned) im looking forward to it.
 
wonder if that will be only for you US folks or whether users this side of the pond will get an update also
 
The radio reception on this phone is so awesome, if they can fix the data drop issue, this will truly be a great phone. Adding some extra battery life would be icing, as it is about what I was expecting, a little better than my droid incredible with an extended battery.
 
Love the phone as is but loving it more already. Between this hotfix and ICS coming out shortly after it's already being updated faster than any other phone i have had thus far.

Just to confirm that I'm reading this correctly, and showing off the fact that I'm a smartphone newbie, updates can actually result in longer lasting battery life?

yup. they can change a number of things... maybe something is refreshing in the background more often than it needs to, maybe there are resources constantly running that don't need to be, etc.
 
If you agree to the soak test then you're not even supposed to mention the existence of it at all but if you don't they can't stop you from yapping about their email.
