razr Maxx made me change my way of thinking...

I've had a Droid X for about 2 years and recently updated to the Razr Maxx. I perform a lot of on-call work with law enforcement and If I'm on call and my battery dies, I am panicking for if I don't answer the phone when dispatch calls I can get in real trouble.

When I had my Doid X, I was always having to plan on taking car charger or wall charger with me whenever I left the house, so that my battery will always be able to be charged. I have had to cancel plans, simply bacause I was on-call on I knew my battery wouldn't last for I didn't bring my charger.

Once I got my Razr maxx, I was soon disapointed for my old wall charger would not charge the Razr, I was already planning on buying a couple more wall chargers online to leave at my parents house and another for work.

Now that I have the Razr Maxx I am seeing just how liberating having a battery that can easily last 18 hours and still have 30% + charge can be. If I do not have a charger handy, I can still use my phone without fear of a dead battery, even if my kids grab the phone and look at netflix or play games. i can leave the house without my car charger :) I can have long visits my parents and friends and not have to bring my wall charger!!

I never thought of how much satisfaction have a strong battery can bring. Phone performance has to me always been about lag or lack of lag.

Thank you Motorola, you hit one out the park with the RAZRR!!!! I will never again own another phone that requires me to tote a charger with me everywhere I go.

Couldn't agree more!!!! I do a lot of on call stuff to where dispatch needs to get me so I understand completely!!!! Its truly a great feeling!!!

After having used two other Android phones (Desire, O2X) it really seems weird, having used the phone quite a bit during the day and waiting to plug it in for the night, only to find it at 50-70% charge!

It's not so much that you can use it for two days as a normal Android phone. Charging daily isn't really such a bit hassle anyway. But you never feel the need to hold back, in order to conserve the battery.

Before getting this phone, I would often refrain from looking up the news while traveling on the bus or train, or making a call in the late evening while not at home, because I would be afraid of the battery running out.

So yeah, I agree with the OP, Motorola hit a sore spot in the mobile phone market with this phone. And it would be a bloody shame, if other manufacturers didn't learn from this.

Great to be free of the cord. I doubt I'd ever buy another phone without a super battery.

I agree!!! I won't worry if I fall asleep and forget to charge the battery!!! I haven't had to panic because of the lack of battery yet!

I feel the exact same way....changed my thinking. Even to the point where I still want an HD screen and more processing speed, if the Maxx HD of fighter is using up more battery due to these additions I will be sticking with the Maxx. It's liberating. Lol.

The MAXX not only changed my idea of what a phone could be but it set a standard that I will always go by. There is no way I could go back now that I have the MAXX. Every other phone now has to try to match this insane battery life. Sucks to be everyone else. Could be a game changer.
Me~>:knuddel:<~My MAXX

Funny thing is with any other phone when I get down to 20% battery I always got aggravated and have to throw it on the charger. With the Maxx I have no fear and feel like I have more than enough battery. Lol. I've been out and never considered charging it since I knew I would have hours left.

I haven't gotten to this point just yet. I have had the phone almost 3 months and I am still not used to its volume of power. When I see it get to 60, 50 or even 40% I initially freak out. :alberteinstein: I then think about it and realize that I have went half the day with heavy use and I am still about 50% full. I could go the rest of the day just fine. Lol. I must have faith in the MAXX. I'm trying.
