I am about to upgrade from my Droid 3 and was thinking I'd go for the Razr Maxx (non HD), but now I can get the Razr HD for the same price. I know the Maxx has a better battery (though Razr HD is still better than many), and the HD has a better screen and processor. If money were no object, I would get the Maxx HD, but unfortunately it is. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

While I like the Razr Maxx battery, I would have to suggest the Razr HD, battery life should still be pretty good, and it will be supported longer, and has the better specs other than battery life.

Get the Razr hd... Battery life will be comparable to the original Razr Maxx, I would most bet money on it. The processor in the HD is alot more efficient. I had the s3 with the same processor bur only a 2100mah battery and was almost comparable to the Maxx... And the new hd has a 2530mah so you should be just fine.
Have you checked out wirefly or amazon, where you can get the Maxx HD for the same price($200) you can get the regular HD at verizon?
there are reports that the razr hd is about the same battery life as the older maxx.
the new phone is leaps and bounds better
