Razr Maxx wont update. :-(

OK, What the heck is going on??? I have tried to download my ICS update multiple time... each anf everytime it goes half way through and reboots my phone like its done and then says update failed. I am getting extremely fustrated! My update has been available since the 28th of June and I still can't get it. This was a brand new phone when I got it in February and it os not rooted- Razr Maxx

While it's frustrating and will clear your phone, have you tried a factory reset before doing the update? I've personally heard of one other instance where this happened and the phone had to be replaced under warranty.

I have done a factory reset TWICE. Ugh, I don't get it, my IMEI number says "unknown" which don't make sense either. I wish I didn't work all week, I would take it to Verizon and let them take care of it. I have looked all over and only found about three other people that have had this problem, but they ended up getting it I have tried all the things they said they had to do, but nothing seems to be working.

My sister in-law had the problem and vzw ended up replacing the phone on the spot with a new one.

When the update fails, does it say why?
