Razr not the thinnest Smartphone?

This is quite a silly thing to argue over, but what do I know ;)

Peoples lives are at stake here. We are talking about the thinnest smartphone and that should never be taken lightly. Youre a guide here at AF and should realize the severity of misinformation about a products thinness.

I saw a guy lose an eye over this very subject. This is nothing to sneeze at.......

I don't think they claim its the thinnest smartphone but the claim is the thinnest LTE smartphone. It is in fact the thinnest LTE smart phone as its already thinner than the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Nexus LTE version is thicker still.

No they say thinnest 4g lte smart phone. Even says it on the ads

On motorola's website in the UK it says:

"With an impossibly thin design, the new MOTOROLA RAZR is a marvel of engineering — one you’ll want to show off to the world. Thinner than your friends' smartphones..."

No one is arguing, it is just a amatter of opinion.

I'm sorry, but that video was crap for two reasons. First, its so dark that you can't tell where one phone ends and the other begins. Second, it excludes the hump.

And no, this isn't important. I just don't like companies making claims like this. It would be like a car company claiming to have the lightest car...if you exclude the engine weight.

Question. Do you think people are going to look at the RAZR and say "wow thats a pretty thin smartphone but I've seen thinner"?

Lol...seriously,,,Who cares! Its thin and that's that...why do you care so much if people tout it as the Thinnest Smart phone, thinnest LTE phone, thinnest Razr, etc? Does it really matter? It's really really thin and that's that. Yes it has a small hump, but most Motorola phones these days have one. At the end of the day its as thin or thinner then the iphone, which IMO is a very slim phone. However the argument is really pointless because, YES its crazy slim for such a powerful phone... And at this moment there is nothing as powerful being that thin : )

I respectfully disagree with you here. Companies do this all the time. With MPG on cars, rated talk times on phones, life span of batteries and TV tech screens etc. They will always pick best case scenario results and results that came under the most optimal conditions. It's part of marketing I suppose. To be honest I wouldn't expect Moto to say "hey we've made the thinnest smartphone available with exception this here hump." 90% of the phone is it's thinnest point I personally don't find anything wrong with their claim.
