Razr or MAXX

This may have been asked before. I am about to get a new phone. I currently have a Droid X. I am looking at the Razr. Do you think it's worth the extra $100 for the battery and card? I realize the card can be purchased for less at Best Buy but I am nervous about the battery. The battery on the X blows and I would hate to invest in another phone with a crappy battery. Thanks for the help.

The Maxx is the first phone with decent battery capacity. I don't see how you could pass up the battery for a few bucks. The Maxx is still thin compared to a phone with an after market extended battery.

The RAZR battery life is good on 3G don't know about 4G I don't have it available in my area yet. I came from a DX and if u love ur DX then the Razr is 10 times better. If u can afford the extra $100 I would go with the maxx. 3300 battery can't beat that.

7.1 mm vs. 9 and 130 grams vs. 145 for an extra 1520 mAh of battery power would be worth it to me. I frequently have to use my PowerGen Juice Pack when out and about especially when using games like Plants vs. Zombies. An external battery pack is cumbersome at best to strap on the phone and try to use it or keep it in your pocket with it plugged in. I would still keep an external battery handy because I hate to run out of juice with no way to charge it.

I would look at it from a different perspective.

For the $100, you can have a 32GB memory card AND a 5000mAh battery extender with some change left for a case.

In this case, you have the sleekness of the Razr, even longer battery life AND a bigger card.

Well, I just picked up my Razr last Friday so I'm going to go look at the Maxx and if it feels good in my hand I'll get it. I haven't had any trouble with availability due the battery but if I can double my battery capacity with only a negligible effect on the size of the phone it sounds like a winner. I guess we'll see tomorrow.

I don't think the Razr will look all that sleek with a 5000mAh battery extender hanging off if it. Do you carry the extender in your pocket? I don't think it's really practical.

When you buy Razr Maxx you are stuck with the bigger thing forever, if you buy a battery extender, you only use it when you need it and most of the time you have the sleekness of the original Razr. YMMV

Thats what I do like about the Razr the sleekness, if you decide to go without the holster for the day feels good in the pocket.

Lol (friendly flame) what a wise guy....
If I did do an external batt to carry around for the day.
I would do this.....ANKER

I agree, but if it isn't that much more noticeable than it may be a keeper.
You must be a back pack kinda guy.
Now if I were to carry the larger power pack instances where I would
use it would be out at the park or the beach or if I were the type of person to go hiking.
If it is about the same weight of the iphone 4s of course thats including
the scilicone case, it might not be too bad.
The key for me will be how it feels in hand and pocket.
