Razr Re-review with ICS

If I do a FDR, will I have to reinstall all my apps??? Will I lose anything? Or is it basically like a reboot?

for all intents and purposes, you will lose everything. (except the SD card - that will be safe.)

it completely wipes the phone's internal memory, but afterwards, it'll automatically re-download your apps, sync your contacts, emails, etc. however, you'll have to re-set-up all the settings in your apps, ringtones, notifications, non-gmail-email-accounts, etc.

it's a pain in the rear end, but i blocked out like 2 hours the other night and just sucked it up and did it. it was totally worth it...but then again, i didn't have a choice, really. i had some serious problems with my initial upgrade to ICS.

ICS did not like my Go launcher until I did a hard reset.. Pain in the arse but its all playing nice together now...

My Razr Maxx is only a couple weeks old, and though I loaded it up with the stuff I love, I think it would be considered pretty light on apps and stored stuff. ICS installed easily, and other than some problems with my e-mail accounts which I had to delete then reinstall the Maxx is running great, no issues with battery life, and so far no glitches with any apps.....the only glitches are with the phone operator who in her haste to try absolutely everything got ahead of herself on some settings. Would there be any reason at all that I would want to do a factory reset/restore? I usually go with the idea that if it ain't broke don't fix it.......but after reading this thread I have to wonder if doing the restore would make it even better.
