Help razr vibrate issue

hey guys, so i just got my razr about a week ago. i do love the phone, but its so big, i wish the incredible 2 was on the 4g network, i would have purchased that instead becuase i got double data for my money, but only on 4g phones, so the razr it was.


dont get me wrong i do love them phone but im having an issue. no matter what i set the vibrate settings to in sound, wether it be to never vibrate, to only vibrate when on silent mode, my phone vibrates twice when getting a text message. its quite annoying, and ive already cleared my phones chache twice and reset it to factory default twice.


another question, can clearing cache or resetting/erasing to factory default harm the phone or the hard drive in any way?

i actually found another vibrate settings if i go into "text" and then hit the settings button (button with three horizontal bars). i can turn off "text notifcation vibration" there.

thats good and all but still have an issue. what does the vibrate setting in sounds do then? how do i get my phone to work like a normal phone and vibrate when in "vibrate mode" without having to keep going into text settings and turning it on and off manually?
