Help RCA Viking Pro 10 Tablet Android 5.0

Have any of you used a 128 Gig thumb drive in a RCA Viking Pro 10 tablet with USB 2.0 & Android 5.0? If so which brand/model worked. My Samsung 128 GB USB 3.0/2.0 backward compatible thumb drive won't get recognized but I have an 8 GB 2.0 thumb drive that will be read in my Viking Pro for Android. The tablet should be reading any external drive (except USB 3.1) not requiring drivers. RCA had no answer and nothing to recommend. Go figure !!!!!! Please advise. StealthRa@gmail.com

I found the answer last night !!!!! The RCA Viking Pro 10 will only accept a flash drive that has been formatted with FAT32. Most new thumb drives are sold for use in Windows 7 on up machines in either NTFS or exFAT formats.

Windows 7 on up doe not have options to format to FAT32 in "Disk Management"; only NTFS and exFAT format options.

I found a 3rd party application at Download.com that is free to use and worked for FAT32 formatting perfectly. My Samsung thumb drive now works in the RCA Viking pro 10 and FAT32 should theoretically work in the Viking for drives as large 4 to 6 TB SSDs as well.

Issue Resolved!
