Help Rdio sync to SD card

I've tried every combination of options but the music that I sync will not go to the SD card. It always goes into the internal memory instead. Anyone else have any luck with this?

Unfortunately with the release of 4.4.2 (KitKat) writing to the SD card is no longer supported.

Any app that doesn't come pre-installed on your phone, either by Google, HTC (select apps), or your carrier, will lack write privileges to the external SD card. Third-party cameras and image editors won't be able to save photos. Music players like Rdio, can't sync music to your SD card. Those are just a few examples of how this affects KitKat users, but it applies to every single app that you install.

Now if you are rooted there are apps like SDFix that fix the permission issues and allow you to use the 3rd party apps in conjunction with the SD card again.

This is the only reason I dislike KitKat. I know it was for security purposes, but Google should have left an option to enable 3rd party storage.

I definitely recommend rooting this phone (or any phone with kitkat). It's easy and you can unlock the restrictions on the SD card with an app

I have this one on an Edge plan so it needs to be returned when I'm done. Unfortunately it needs to be an un-rooted state.
