Help RE: Battery Life & Battery Full Notification

Good day to all users.

I have two difficulties and hope someone could advise and help me with these issues. I purchased Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 three days ago but it seems like the battery couldn't last long. The battery will go flat after five hours - depending on how much I spent on the phone. Is there any way to make the battery life longer?

On the other hand, I did not receive any notification stating that the battery is full. The battery bar showed it is fully charged however, there is no notification. Is it fully charged? And, why is there no notification? Kindly advise and appreciate someone could assist me with these issues.

Thanks in advance & best regards.

It will beep if the charge is full. Then after a while when charge drops to 98% it will start charging again.

Battery life depends on how you set up the phone. For example, when I first bought my phone (Galaxy SL) it will last more than 1 day. After I set it up, it lasts approx 13hrs. I could run my battery dry in 3hrs if I play an HD film. A nice game, for example Angry birds, can use up about 30% of the battery in a couple of hours.

Smartphones like Androids use up battery much more faster than feature phones.

Idk if that battery life is normal for your type of phone, so I'll let someone else chime in there.

The battery bar stays in full position till about 80% battery. I'd recommend you find a widget that tells you the exact battery percentage on your home screen or status bar.

u can try 'Battery Booster' from the market. it will give u a reading on ur battery level as well as the battery temperature level

Most are complaining about how bad is the battery, how it drains so quickly, right?, so i have done couple changes to the phone like below.

1) Disable GPRS / 3G immdiately ( Other wise it will try to sync the data & if you dont subscribe for any GPRS, so service provider will charge.)
2) Kill un-used services in Task Manager
3) Brightness to zero
4) Black wall paper... ( No live wall papers)

5) Go to "settings" ( SAMSUNG GALAXY Ace GT S5830)> "Location and security"
> My location > Un check-Un select "Use wireless networks"

6) Download application : Android booster from the Android Market
7) Never update your backup (password) to your gmail account.

Hi all,

Thank you for the replies.

Am I right to say even though the battery is full, it doesn't mean that the battery is fully charged? I should be patient and wait for the notification to appear?

On the other day, other forum users recommended Samsung Galaxy Ace users to download 'Juicy Defender'. This helps to save battery and it works.

From 7am to 7pm (12 hours), 25% of the battery is gone. As compared to yesterday (5pm to 10pm), almost 85% of the battery was gone.
