Root Re-format & Partition after flashing?

Hi,

Could anyone tell me if I have to re-format and partition my SD card after flashing?

I did this originally to free up internal memory, but since then I have flashed CyanogenMod and now Link2sd which I used previously doesn't seem to be working. I'm getting a 'mount script cannot be created' error when I try to select the partition.

Any advice?

Thank you.

I did, in the end re-format and partition the SD card.

The problem I'm having now, is that Link2sd can't mount the second partition. I've done everything correctly as far as I can see - created both FAT primary partition and ext2 primary - but although this worked great on stock rom, it's not working on CyanogenMod.

Is there a solution, because I'll have to revert to stock if I can't get the extra intenal storage (that's why I rooted in the first place).

Thanks for any advice.

format the partition, or check if there is another mount script in the init.d folder that might be interfering with link2sd.
You can also try s2e, it works on CM only.
