read out messages, send message (toggle?)

[adam_hilluk]

I was just wondering If anybody knew of an app which could be activated while I'm in car, via toggle maybe? Which will read my messages out loud and also send a message to say I was driving? Either or both would be great if someone could help?

Cheers

Tried tasker on a trial but to bloody confusing! Couldn't get it to do what I wanted. Any other suggestions out there?

Get Vlingo... It has Safe Reader that can read your messages to you. It also has a widget to easily enable/disable. It works great for me.

Vlingo wont respond that you are driving but it does give you a really easy interface to speak (completely hands free if you want) a reply.

Give it a try, it is in the market and free.

I'd used vlingo before and hated it but seems improved. That and also using 'auto reply sms/calls' hopefully sorted
