Real time Barometer?

geofolk

Lurker
Can someone tell me how to turn on the barometer so it reads in real time? I go to "Barometer settings" and none of the choices make sense. It show 4 options: 1) Pressure sensor auto download, 2) Send to server automatically, 3) BLE watch link setting, and 4) Bluetooth setting. Number 1 confuses me because of the "auto download" part of this choice. If the sensor is in the phone, why would you have "download" anything?
By the way, I have the number one setting checked and the pressure that is displayed on my phone is 978 hPa while the nearby and same altitude National Weather Service is reporting 1018 mb (= 1018 hPa).
Thanks in advance for any explanations.

Some of the apps in the Google market place can take advantage of the built in sensors. I know the sensor in the Commando 4G for temp and Ber is very slow to respond. You might try searching for a sensor app that shows real time data.
