Really annoying email issue - please help

Hi

I have Gmail and Hotmail running in my email client. It has no problems picking up new emails.

Gmail performs well. Hotmail however does not at all.

When I open email on my phone and refresh sometimes it will bring in loads of emails from two weeks, three weeks ago and displays these as new

Any ideas how I can solve this? Its very annoying.

That's a bit strange. Do you have the hotmail account set up to limit by age or by number of e-mails?

I've had an issue where when I have e-mail set up to keep say 20 e-mails, after I delete a bunch of mails it will call back earlier ones and mark 'em as unread. As a result, I have my mail set up to bring back it set up to sync only one day (I'm using the default Android mail app).

sorry for late reply.

I changed settings so that when i delete emails it goes from the server. I went through all emails and now everything os sorted
