Help Really disappointed with the camera!

Guys, made some of you can help.

I had a S2 before I got this S4. The camera on the S2 waa great. A quick tap of the screen and shoot and the picture got snapped and nearly always came out crisp.

With my S4 its very difficult for me to take a picture in focus!! You have to hold the camera steady for a few seconds more even after tjr oicture has been taken, its very frustrating! Does anyone else have this problem?

It makes the phone utterly impractical to use if say at a party or
in a bar and someone who doesnt own the phone is taking a picture for you.

If its a setting issue please advise. A big selling point for this device was the camera capabilities....it was so much better / easier on the s2 for me.

There have been lots of identical threads on this. If you search the forum, you will find the answers you are looking for.

I went from an HTC DNA to this S4 and indeed you need more patience and a steady hand with the S4.

The DNA has a dedicated imaging chip which made it quicker but if you can get used to holding the S4 as still as possible you can get some really clear shots especially with good lighting.

Activating the speech command so you can say "capture" to take a photo rather than having to touch the screen seems to help me sometimes so you can keep two hands steady lol.

Thanks for the tips! !

I know what you mean. For the most situations, I use auto mode, but its not all that practical in every situation. I have found that the S4's camera, at times, is slow to focus on its own. Just tape anywhere on the screen to focus faster. (Make sure the anti-shake for camera and video stabilization for video, is on for better pictures as well.) With all the settings on the S4, you can pretty much take any type of picture that turns out awesome. I have found that playing around with the different modes and settings helps out a lot. (Do this before you need to take a picture for best results). One other tip, when the focus box is green, the camera is focused and ok to snap the picture.
