Really need help with my Storage.(Needs Moving)

Hello guys I came here because I really need some help and googleing for hours without being able to find any solution. I been really having problems with my internal storage with system data taking up 5 GBs of my 8 GBs internal storage leaving me barely any space for apps or media.

I'm using a LG Sprint 4G(rooted) 5.0.1 Android.

And here comes my confusion, if I go to Settings - Storage everything looks fine except misc with 5gbs of System data but if I say... use something like DiskUsage it says the system data is only 464MBs also something weird is that if use tools like DiskUsage they always say I only have 3.50gbs of maxium storage even though it should be 8GBs.

Hope someone can help me out here.

Edit: Can someone move my thread it seems to have ended up somewhere wrong even though I was in questions o.o.

If I understand it right. You have a total of 3.46gb usable data (for apps etc) and you're using 1.62 which leaves you 1.83gb to play with so it's a fairly low storage phone

But shouldn't I have more? Is it normal for System Data to be 5gbs under Settings - Storage of Android.

Different device here, I have a Galaxy S5... just installed that app and it is very useful.
Comparing my results with yours shows the Ratio of used to Free to be about the same.

So, I don't think there is anything "wrong" with your phone. It just has a smaller memory chunk to work with.
The S5 is 16 gB which is twice your device's 8 gB. It is full of Verizon Bloatware, disabled, but still in the ROM none the less.

It's not just "in the rom" that's the problem. The ROM lives in the /system partition, while your space is the /data partition. So even if you deleted the bloatware that wouldn't make the /data partition any larger. The limit is how much space they've allocated for system software, not how much of that is used.

But yeah, between expanding OS and ever-growing apps we've pretty much reached the point where 8GB phones are too small for all but the lightest users, and if you don't realise that the quoted capacity includes system, cache space etc it can come as a nasty shock.

Android M should allow you to use an sd card to properly expand storage (rather than just for media), but that doesn't help anyone right now.
