Help Rebate

when will I get my mail in rebate. I bought my phone on January 22. I checked online about my rebate and they received my rebate on January 27 and it's on the final process.

I heard they wait one month and the rebate is no good if you dont continue services for the second month
Just a rumor though

Not just a rumor.

I'm "scheduled for final processing" too. The Metro rebate line told me now they wait the *35 days* after your activate date to be sure you're still activated Then if you are they send you the Visa card.

The last time I got a rebate from Metro it took like 3 months. So my advice is that you just kinda forget about counting on it till it finally shows up. Make sure though that they have received your paperwork and that you are set up for final approval, meaning that you must have the phone activated for at least the two months since you bought it, I wouldn't cancel service if that's what you might be thinking about till you do get the card from them.

Yeah, ditto lol. Here is a post I made when I first got the LG Esteem. I bought it the day it came out. I sent the rebate in within the rebate date requirement. I went through hell.

For all of you having problems I would recommend that you try and track the rebate via the website if possible. If you have not got a confirmation email then they have not got it or they have and haven't emailed you. I have a similar story. I sent in the rebate and they got it on the 9th of December and so I went to look on the website to track it and it said my rebate was invalid because the rebate was post marked after the allowed date. Well I'm glad I made a copy of the rebate contract. ;) I went and looked and it said it has to be post marked by December 24th and received no later than January 7th. So I thought to myself and said wait if they received the rebate on the 9th then it was clearly post marked on time right? Lol! So I called them and explained to the guy and he said that there was a typo on the rebate form but that he would fix the invalidity of this and sure enough I went on the rebate tracking site and it was marked as valid and being processed. So if you have not received an email from metro then I would look in your inbox spam junk w/e and then call them.:D the guy seemed like he has been dealing with that all day cause he didn't waste any time putting it through. So I'm just waiting for that to come any day now.:)

I got my rebate after fighting for like 4 months... :p

THis is my third rebate from Metro, as I said earlier the second one took about 3 months. But the very first time I sent in a rebate form it was a mess. First of all I know that any rebates from vendors or service providers usually take 8-16 weeks, so about the tenth week I get an e-mail from Metro saying my rebate was invalid because the form was out of date. Because the form I used was given to me by the same Metro person who sold me the phone I just assumed that all was good and didn't really read anything more than what I needed to send them. anyway it turns out that the form he gave me was indeed expired by a week. So I had to start all over after letting the manager know what had happened, (I was trying to get him to expedite my rebate) bottom line is that it still took close to 11 weeks before my card showed up.

This was one that I just blamed myself for, because I should have known better than to assume everything was O.K. Make sure that you cross the I's and dot the T's, or something like that. LOl

WTF, O?

People should already have a pretty good idea how MIRs work, you Know Damn Well they are going to go over it with a fine tooth comb. You. Know. That.

So why would you do some hurried, p*ss poor job of getting your act together and Then whine about your rebate not going thru.

It's a rebate form, it's not rocket surgery.

I got a email from Das Mudersheep just one week after I mailed it saying I was clear for final approach.

Most people's bad luck they make themselves.

Just to clarify.

They ask on the rebate form what the date is you activated the phone. They WILL check 35 days after that to be sure you still have service Then they send out your card. If it were me, I probably wouldn't deactivate the phone (for whatever reason) until you had the rebate card back in your hand.
