1. How often do you reboot/power cycle your N1?
Background:
(a) Long time ago: a few generations of phones ago, I used to have to reboot my [Motorola] phone almost every day. If I didn't, after a few days it would start randomly acting up (e.g. freezing) so I just got into the habit of turning it off at night and turning it on in the morning.
(b) Not so long ago: Later on I phones got smarter. I've also been on call 24/7 for a few years now so I can't turn off my phone every night. My Motorola V8 worked fine for a days on end and had to be rebooted quite infrequently. As long as I rebooted every 1-2 weeks or so it was fine; it rarely froze or "misbehaved".
(c)Now: I reboot my [N1] phone once/week (not every week tho; sometimes I forget). I rarely get to the point where I HAVE TO reboot, but it does happen.
In most cases the problem is APN related: it won't reconnect to 3G. I turn the APN on and off, switch from 2G to 3G and nothing. I reboot - everything's cool. I think it only happened 2-3 times (in 7 months) when the phone actually froze and I had to reboot (at least once I had to remove the battery).
What about you?
2. Does your phone always turn off normally?
Mine doesn't. About half the time I select "turn off" (power button -> turn off, OK to accept the warning) instead of turning itself off, it just does a quick reboot. Instead of vibrating the way it does when it powers off, I get prompted for the SIM pin. At this point I have to select "turn off" again in order for the phone to actually turn off. Any similar experiences or is it just my phone?
Any other issues related to rebooting and/or turning off the phone?
