Receipt scanner?

Not sure what you are referring to as far as removing or adding apps to some list. I have no idea where you got that from what I said. I am not arguing in favor or against any app. I am simply looking for solutions to problems and keeping this thread updated on my progress so that others that may have the same problem can come here for solutions.

But as far as Cheetah sync and dropbox go, they have nothing in common, so they cannot be compared to one another. Dropbox is cloud storage and Cheetah sync is an app for syncing folders from your smartphone with folders on your PC over wifi without going through cloud storage. Totally different.

I only write this response so that future readers looking for answers to the same problem I was having with Camscanner will not get confused by what you said.

It may sound kind of stupid to you but the name is what turned me away. In the PC world bitorrant is a P2P file sharing program for sharing file across the internet. It basically turns your computer into a server. I want nothing to do such software. I don't know if the app you suggested is similar, but since they share the same name, I "assumed" they might have a connection and looked elsewhere.

Not stupid although perhaps a bit uninformed. Bitorrent is one of those tricky words because it is a brand, a protocol, an application name, and unfortunately known mostly as a tool for piracy or malware.

So let me see if I can sort out Bitorrent Sync relationship to all this. Basically Bitorrent Sync is a program put out by Bitorrent Inc that uses the bitorrent protocol to allow you to form a private "dropbox like" network (minus the need for a 3rd party) by which to sync files among the nodes that you set up. Basically it is using the same protocol as people who use bitorrent for file shareing but applied in a manner to give you completely private way to sync your files with only your devices or those that you authorize.

Here is the point where I could (and most times probably would) detail how it works to drive home my point but I think I am going to skip that this time since you can look all of that up at the Bitorrent Sync website. Suffice it to say that you can set up Bitorrent Sync to operate over the Internet (everything is encrypted in transit) or just on your local network (so that it cannot travel over the Internet at all) and no one but you (and/or those you authorize) will have access to your data or computers.

Anyway forgive me for proselytizing (I just love the program but have no association with the developers) but knowing your proclivity for privacy I think you can find a lot of ways to put it to use if you look into it and give it a chance.

I appreciate the info. I thank you for the good advice, for even though I did not use bitorrent, it was your advice that opened my eye to the idea of syncing directly from my phone to my computer instead of from the cloud to my computer. As of right now cheetah sync is working great and I have no nees to look further, but if in the future I need an app with qualities of BitTorrent, I will not hesitate to use it. Thanks again.
