Help receive duplicate SMS

just picked up my S3 yesterday on Sprint. I've installed Handcent, and disabled the notifications in the stock message app. If I receive a message by mynumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com I receive it twice, meaning they appear twice in the stock app and twice in Handcent.
Is there some way to fix this?

Turn off notifications for the stock app and you won't get anymore from it. That will help.

thanks for the suggestion, but please re-read my message, I've already done this. Duplicate notifications are not the problem, duplicate messages are the problem.

sounds like a carrier issue call your carrier
