Help receive text notification when talking

I can not receive notification of an incoming text while talking on the phone. Sometimes if I look at the phone the notification is there and other times, when I disconnect from the call then all texts that were sent to me while on the phone will appear.
Please help, all other phones that I have had would notify you that you had received a text

Mine does but I use "QKSMS" from the Play Store. Wish I could help more.

Try opening the phone app, hit the three dots, select settings, select call, select call alerts, and make sure the box at "Notify during calls" is checked.
