Received Jelly Bean notification, now its gone!

Late last night I received notification for Jelly Bean, but decided to wait until this morning to install it, but now its not available! Went to setting, system update, update Samsung software, clicked check now, and it says my system is currently up to date, but I'm still on 4.0.4. Anyone else encounter this problem?

Hmm..I am in the same shape on Sprint. It took me to a web page telling me about the update but using their instructions are incorrect....

It says to go to "settings" "About phone" but there is no about phone option...there is an about device but there is nothing to update.....hmmm...:confused:

Same here. I checked my notices earlier this morning, saw the same message, and then it quickly disappeared. System shows 4.0.4 and says I'm up-to-date. Sure....:mad:
 
Same here, had a message come up a couple days ago to update but thought I'd wait till I got home. Message was gone when I got home and it wouldn't update, should have done it as soon as it was available :-/

I am not even sure I got the message, but when I try to update I am up to date on 4.0.4...

I also had what looked like instructions for an update. But in the past, all the other OTA did not show this. Instead, it just stated do you want to install now or later... This must had nothing to do with JB.
So the wait continues:confused:
 
Do it manually like allot of us have on here.

Find the thread on here download the file and no more waiting.

So is everything working fine, no Jellybean glitches? It seems every time we update our phones, there a numerous annoying glitches.

As I can only speak for myself I have had no glitches that are out of the norm from a new operating system update.

One thing for me my battery time got better not that it was bad before but it definately did improve.

Thanks. May go ahead and try the manual update. One thing I'm not sure of, will I be able to download the zip file to my Mac, or should I just download it to the phone directly?
 
the notification is likely just telling us that they have started rolling out the updates, even though we know that I guess some dont. I got the notification and that is what I took from it anyway. It brought me to the website with instructions for when you get the option to install now or later, but thats all it is. It was not the update, just a heads up about the update and how to do it..

As for checking, it's not gonna be under the samsung update when you go to system updates, it is gonna be firmware update. I have been checking a lot but so far no update for me. Sprint decided to tease me about it and not send it to my phone yet lol.. might just manually do it when I have time.

For me I downloaded it to my PC first then moved it to my external SD card and installed it that way.
 
Same thing happened to me too, I think Sprint is playing games, heck, there not even up to date with their 4g LTE service here in Florida. Plain and simple Sprint $ucks as a carrier!
 
to correct myself, i deleted the data from google services framework then checked the samsung software update and am getting "android system update" :348.7 mb.. took 2 tries of deleting the data and checking.. interesting if it works for others..
