Help Received Location can't open

im being sent a Location from family member who has an iPhone. When he sends it I receive it as a "mms" and when I tap it, it supposed to open a map but since I up graded to j3 nothing happens. Is there a setting. And how do I fix?
 
Was is sent via Apple Maps? It could be that the coding is different and you don't have a compatible map app. He might need to share from Google Maps because Apple Maps is not available for Android.
