Help Received text time

[dsurette]

I have a new Droid Turbo 2 and so far I like it. Just one bothersome problem. When a text message is received there is nothing to show when it was received. It shows the time for sent messages but not received ones. Thanks for any help or is this just an "undocumented feature"?

Have you tried a different text app, or checking the settings of the current one?

I have only the default app that came with the phone and I see nowhere in the app where I can control the received time display.

Then install another app, such as Chomp or Textra (my personal favourites, others will have their preferences). If the built in app is inadequate there is no reason to stick with it.

Never owned a verizon phone but I don't think their text app has it. Just googled the issue and see the same thing for the Verizon Message+ app, no time stamp.

Thanks for the replies. Time for a new app.

I'm on Verizon and I use Textra

the time is "hidden" sometimes to the right, you just slide the message to the left and it shows you the time sent/received
