Help Receiving ios emojis

[Android Question]

In a group text with ios/android users,
I keep getting a response from an ios user that says "laughed at" or "liked" followed by a previously sent text message that they are laughing at or liking...im assuming this is what i get instead of the emoji? How can i change this? Thanks for the help in advance!

If it's actual text that says "laughed at", "liked", etc, I don't think that's emoji. If it was emoji that wasn't supported, you'd be seeing blank squares or nothing most likely.

What version Android are you using, because if it's 5.x Lollipop or later, that definitely supports full color emoji. Same on iOS.

Could still be emoji. The emoji on forum bbcodes are written as :liked:, and it will show the emoji once posted, instead of the text.

The OP can try downloading a third party app that supports Apple emoji, since manufacturers probably can't add that themselves due to it being proprietary, possibly patented, data.
