Recent Apps?

I just got a Moto X Pure Edition and I've noticed that when I want to switch between apps or expand a single app under the recently opened apps screen I have to double tap on it to get the apps to expand or open, it won't work if I tap it once. Is this normal?

I don't have to double tap mine, I do use Nova Launcher but switched back to Google/default to check. When I pull up the recent apps display I just single tap and it opens, I have no idea why you have to double tap. I don't even think it's a setting anywhere, don't think I've ever changed such a thing (but I sure would have).

Try clearing cache, maybe something is off if it's new and you just set it all up. Here are the instructions.
