Recent problem being able to Wipe the Cache Partition

So, apparently since all the recent updates, when I tried to go to Safe Mode to Wipe the Cache Partition, it took me to Safe Mode, but did not show the usual blue screen. It showed the Home Screen and indicated Safe Mode in the lower left. The problem is, with this new Safe Mode screen, I do not know how to wipe the cache partition, then go to Reboot as I used to be able to do.

Has anyone noticed this, and the change I’ve outlined above? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Your S9 can also be started up in Recovery Mode, Download Mode, and Safe Mode, each mode is for different maintenance tasks, and are not interchangeable with each other so using Safe Mode to wipe the system cache partition isn't going to work. You can refer to this link for directions on how to reboot your S9 into each one in the event you need to:

The issue being, as @Hadron pointed out, your phone may not even have a 'wipe cache partition' option in the Recovery Mode menu as having a separate, dedicated system cache partition is being phased out in newer versions of Android.

Success pushing vol. up, Bixby and power button, all at the same time, when starting up. After it booted, I released the buttons, scrolled to wipe the cache with the power down button, then rebooted, entering each command with the power button..

It’s been setup this way for a long time now. I didnt understand your initial question or else I would have simply mentioned you do that button press dance.

Sounds like you're back at the races so good to hear. :)
