Recent screens glitch and new app screens

Whenever I download something from the play store, when I go back to recent screens and if I had any, they disappear. I can go back into the app and it'll be on what it was and reappear on recent screens, but is there a way to fix this? Also, when I download an app, it automatically appears on the next screen beside my home screen, is there a way to make it just appear on the home screen?

Tapping on the back button icon (a triangle) in an app usually takes you back to the home/start screen of that app. If you want to go to your homescreen tap on the middle icon.

Are we on the same page?

It's a circle in probably all of my apps.

Have you tried going into the boot options mode and clearing cache?
Or clear cache and rwstart your phone?
