recent upgrade

just got an upgrade on a verizon spectrum. now I cannot separate the notifications for e-mail and texts. I do not want to know when e-mails come in - too many but do want to know when I get a text. I was able to do this before the upgrade. Does anybody know a way around this?

First off welcome to the forums

I would suggest to go into the Email app then Settings > Notifications and turn them off, this should stop the Email notifications and then Text notifications will still come in.
