My wife dropped (and kicked
) her MyTouch4G Slide in some light rain yesterday. Today, it worked intermittently, but increasingly says no service. We popped in my sim card and it worked, made a few calls and within ~5 mins said no service.
It can tell if there is/isn't a sim card present and could even tell me that my sim was full and needed to have texts deleted, but no service.
Does this sound like a mechanical or a water problem? It's sitting in rice for now, but it sounds like perhaps something in the sim reader has been knocked loose. I'm resistant to start taking it apart without a second opinion however.
