Recommend a Box for Kodi

Hi there, I'm looking to get a box mostly for Kodi but is there also anything else worth getting on these things, I'm pretty new to them.

Could you recommend a few of the speedier boxes, I'm very impatient and can't tolerate lag.

Also it seems some have emulators on?

Also is Raspberry Pi a viable choice also?

in my opinion Raspberry Pi is too complicated....

it is better to buy some Android media player

Maybe Zidoo X10 - see more here

Zidoo has great soft support, also X10 model has internal 3.5″ HDD bay

What's complicated about it? You can buy the hardware for practically nothing. Just connect up to your TV and network. There are specialised media centre distros which include Kodi. If you don't want to bother copying this on to a USB stick (for free), it's possible to buy a pre-installed USB stick, or SD card. Again costing virtually nothing. Just plug in, power on, and you have a fully functioning media box.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually ended up ordering an Nvidia Shield in the end due to positive reviews. I think it's a bit overpriced but it seemed to have the best performance and connectivity options.

Yes, it is cheap. but for every little thing you need to buy an additional part such as an shutdown button.
And sometimes its not easy to use like regular Android media player.

I've got an IR USB receiver for mine, which allows me to use my TV remote. This can control all the functions of Kodi, and also power off the box. It really does work very well, and is simple to use.
