Recommend an upgrade from a Desire HD?

A year ago, yes. Now I am not so sure. The Sensation has been about for a long time now (about 1.5 years) and I suspect there are now better ones out there. I like my Sensation and it does everything I want, but I suspect it is getting a bit long in the tooth.
 
I really wouldn't at this stage. I'd jump ahead and get a one x or a GS3, even they are likely to be outclassed in the next few months.
