Help Recommendation for car mount?

I think the samsung dock is pretty darn slick because i like having the audio and charging build into the dock and use the pogo pins on the phone. Plus you can record video while it is in the dock also.
 
Be aware you need Bluetooth in your vehicle to have phone calls coming through speakers.

The aux will only carry music, notifications etc
 
Are there any good ones for cars without cupholders by the dash and CD slots that are obstucted? (My stereo system blocks the CD slot until its used for a CD)

Not mine. When I plug in my Aux cable to my dash, the person's voice comes through loud and clear. The phone's ringtone cuts through music, gps, or whatever I got running. Once the call is done, the music goes back to whatever volume it was before the call came in.
 
Why would it make a difference? Whatever "sound" coming out of the phone should go directly to the car, just like with headphones? Haven't done any calls in our car since my wife is the only one to really use it, but wouldn't think it would make a difference.
 
Well it did with mine and I seen many others on xda and expansys

I plugged my aux into dock + phone and everything except phone audio came through my vehicles speakers.. if I plug aux direct into phone EVERYTHING comes through the car speakers.

Have you tried this? Because phone call audio goes through the AUX just like any other sound. I have the samsung GSM dock with verizon phone and everything works just fine. Music, Notifications, Calls, Charging, Maps and camera. You name it, it works.

Note: if you have a blue tooth device like hands free, the phone call will go through that instead.
 
Of course I tried it...

I bought the dock and had it shipped to me for 77$

When the voice calls got routed to speakerphone on the phone I sold it for $60. I don't have any Bluetooth or hands free in my vehicle so the dock was useless.

Unless there was an update to the dock somehow... but I never received a phone update.

Pretty pissed if its working now and I sold the dock and jumped the gun.
 
Can others confirm the official Sammy dock is working as stated above...

Does anyone without Bluetooth in their vehicle confirm phone call audio is coming through the vehicles speakers through AUX??
