Best go with a solution that is officially supported by google.
Eclipse on either Linux, Windows, or Mac (see SDK download page here)
You could of course use other IDEs for your android development, for example NetBeans or IntelliJ IDEA or no IDE at all... but 99% of the tutorials and answers you find online assume you use eclipse so that's probably the best way to go.
search for illumination creation studio.. its a great program that makes it super easy to build apps for ios and android platforms.. its all visual so if you dont know code it'll make it that much easier.
Thanks, I've used Eclipse in the past and have experience with Java but coding isn't really a strong point for me. Will have a look at this illumination creation studio.
