There is a bluetooth app for the iPhone which communicates with a tennis ball machine for multiple functions including on and off. Is there an android app which will record and then send the bluetooth signal coming out of the iPhone for the on off function of the ball machine? The goal is to use my Android phone to turn the tennis ball machine on and off.

You want to packet sniff and record/data-dump whatever BT protocol the iOS app is using to communicate with the tennis ball machine, and then reverse engineer it and make an Android app that does the same as the iOS app? Because presumably the machine's manufacturer only supports Apple iOS devices.

One thing Bluetooth is securely encrypted AFAIK, to prevent eavesdropping by undesirable third-parties and attackers. Even for something like this, it's part of the BT specification, data security.
