Help Recorded video on S2 not supported?

MotioNz

Lurker
Okay so i recorded a long video and another right after it. After i was done recording i was able to watch and replay both of them shortly after. Now, a day later, only the 2nd half of the video appears in my library. However when i go to "My Files" and look in DCIM, i can see both of the videos. Yet i cant play the first part because it says "unsupported file type" . but on both of the videos names, they are .mp4 idk whats going on, Can anybody help? Thnx :/

The file might be corrupted. Can try the following;

1) Copy the files to the computer and play from there.

2) Look if there are any fragmented files in the Lost.dir folder. If there are, it might indicate that some of the data for that file was corrupted.

All files are in Phone USB memory or external microSD?

Hello,

Did you manage to get your videos working. I recorded 3 and none of them work at all. my default location is my SD card. I have noticed that there is about 6GB of data in my lost.dir folder could this be the issue and is there any way of getting the video to work?

Thanks for you help.

Looks like an issue with your microSD card then. Try saving to the phone memory instead. And maybe you can change your microSD card.

Looks like your corrupted video files in the Lost.dir as well. Haven't heard of anyone managing to recover the files from there 100% succesfully.

thanks for you help,

Ill try and figure out a way to recover them from lost.dir as could do with them really.

Thanks again
