Recording long FullHD videos with Nexus 6P rear cam

Hello folks,
I am still quite a newbie at using the Nexus 6P.
I have to give a 2-hour presentation and, as one of the video recording options, I am planning to use my Nexus 6P mounted on a tripod to get high quality video.
Two questions:
1. Could anybody tell me their experience recording long (2 hours) FULL HD video with the rear camera?
2. What is your recommendation on what app to use to record it? If you can provide your reasons for your choice, it will be great.

Though I am going to test it to make sure there are no interruptions in the recording or other faults happen, I wanted to hear from you.

Thanks a lot!!

Welcome to our AndroidForums, @AlejandroGaray :).

Not sure how much space two continuous hours of HD recording would take, but I that (and battery life) would be your biggest hurdles.

You can probably get around the battery life issue by keeping it plugged in to a power source.

I can't recommend any specific apps, but perhaps others can...

Post back with your testing and experiences--best of luck!

I'm not a camera/video buff by any stretch, but,I'm willing to bet two solid hrs of video recording is gonna generate a bit of heat.
I'd recommend a small clip-on fan mounted on the tripod, but, test it 1st,to make sure the phone mics don't pick up any possible wind noise from the fan.
The phone may throttle itself to keep things cool,IDK,but,I'd do a dry run beforehand to ensure everything goes off w/o a hitch.
If possible,I'd close all other apps not needed at the time & if also possible, put the phone in airplane mode while recording.

Thanks folks for your replies. A quick reply from me:
1. As for the space I think I have it covered: I am planning to use a ScanDisk flash memory USB type C. As far as I learnt from a few websites, the Nexus will be able to record onto the flash card. And the entire 32 GB capacity for HD (not 4K) will be enough. Anyway I will be using another camera(s) like a camcorder and Canon Vixia Mini X as well just in case.
2. As for the mic/sound, I dont care very much as I will be using a Zoom H1 + Smartlav+ lavalier mic to get a better quality and eventually I will merge the sound track with the video of the cam(s).
3. As for the battery life: I agree to your recommendations and will have all apps closed and in plane mode.

Apart from that, my main concern is the video recording going smooth with all the previous concerns covered.

Thanks again.
