So as a good google user, I turned on 2-step verification, which I actually like quite a bit (well, except for my current situation
).
I own a thrive, and enabled pattern unlock to keep my kids from playing with it.
Apparently one of them tried to break in, and its now in a state where it is demanding I enter my username and password to gain access since there were too many pattern attempts.
I enter my Google password, which I am sure is correct since I can use it to login to gmail successfully. That does not work.
I am guessing that since I have 2-step turned on, and never told my Thrive my actual google password, but instead told it an application specific password, that will not work.
I did not write down my app-specific password because google said there was no need to
Additionally, Wifi is not turned on so the thrive can't check with the mother ship anyway.
What to do? I really dont want to do a hard reset....
Thanks for any help,
Joe
