Is there a way to recover data after factory reset my brother entered in the wrong password to many times and it reset my whole phone. I just want my contacts back. Why would android do this? This is the dumbest thing ever. If I got to the Verizon store do you think they could help me recover the data?

You don't say which device you have, Colt, but my Verizon s5 has a setting that specifically stops a factory reset after numerous failed attempts. You should be able to retrieve your contacts by synching with Verizon cloud, provided you backed them up initially.
