My phone deleted nearly 900 photos that were saved to my phone. Specifically into a Facebook album and Tumblr album, but they were not pictures that I took by my phone.

Is it possible to recover them?
 
If saved to an actual, physical SD card (not a bit of internal storage called "sdcard") then yet. Mount it on a computer (use a card reader if the phone only supports MTP, as most devices running Android 4 do) and run some file recovery software. If you are using Windows then Recuva is free and often recommended. Try not to use the card in the meanwhile, as you may overwrite data you are trying to recover.

If they were on the internal storage of the phone, unfortunately probably not possible.
